WHO WE ARE
Teach a Man to Fish Mentoring is a non-profit preventative and educational based organization that was started with the vision of Dr. Gary Howard. He along, with his wife Monisha decided to run with the vision, realizing that there is a great need for mentoring and motivation among today's youth.
Our mission is to assist young adults with developing short and long term S.M.A.R.T goals and to facilitate support through mentoring as they strive towards their desired outcome.
In addition to working with their mentors, the mentees will engage in goal setting workshops as well as everyday life learning skills. Our overall goal is to help young people make their dreams a reality.
ACTIVITIES
Teach A Man To Fish Mentoring is achieving more with our initiatives than ever before. We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others, and are very proud of the progress we continue to make. RIVER OUTING
At Teach A Man To Fish Mentoring, we are dedicated to community support and fun experiences while we mentor. The boat ride along the river is something that Dr. Gary Howard has done since the foundation and it is a huge success. This gives young people in the community a chance to experience riding on a boat, while receiving valuable educational and life lessons.
SERVICE OUTREACH
With this initiative, our goal is to help those in need while promoting great opportunities for our mentees to learn the value of helping others. With access to the right resources, young people can become empowered by their own abilities and gain the confidence to fulfill their potential through volunteering. This also gives our mentees the opportunity to learn new skills as well.
